A HOME FOR YOUR WORK
Privacy
What stays on your machines, and what Nest stores to keep your workspace together.
Who is responsible
Nest is a Mac app with a cloud workspace service. Hasna, Inc. is the operator and data controller: 1606 Headway Cir STE 9891, Austin, TX 78754, United States. For privacy requests, email privacy@hasna.com. For product help, email support@hasna.com.
Your account
When you sign up, Nest processes your email address, name, account identifiers and sign-in records. With Google, Nest receives basic profile and verified email information to authenticate you. With email and password, Nest processes your password through its authentication service and stores a password hash. Verification and password-reset emails are delivered through Amazon Web Services.
Nest also keeps device registrations, session and revocation records, and security and rate-limit information to protect access to your account.
Your subscription
If you choose Pro, Stripe processes the information you enter in its hosted checkout or billing portal, including payment and billing-address information. Nest links your subscription to your Nest account using account and provider identifiers and keeps subscription status, paid-period information and records needed to reconcile billing events and requests. We use this information to provide paid features, manage subscription access, handle billing requests and meet applicable accounting and legal obligations.
Your workspace
Cloud sync stores your station names and connection references, tab names, working directories, launch settings, groups, pane layouts, saved setups and preferences. These details can reveal personal information or project names.
The standard Mac client also shares browser addresses with the query, fragment and embedded credentials removed, and shares any custom titles you give them. Address paths can still contain sensitive information. Avoid putting passwords or access tokens in names, paths or other workspace fields.
What runs on your machines
Terminals and coding agents run on the station you choose. The standard workspace sync does not include terminal output, desktop screen content, SSH private keys, agent credentials or browser cookies. Nest displays terminal and desktop content locally; other apps, stations and custom clients have their own behavior.
Your Mac stores workspace files, recovery copies and embedded-browser data. Authentication credentials are held in the macOS Keychain. Signing out or closing Nest does not erase these local files, end remote processes or sign you out of websites inside browser tabs.
Why information is used
Nest uses account and workspace information to provide the service you request, restore your workspace organization across Macs, authenticate devices, prevent abuse and respond to support requests. Account and workspace processing is necessary to provide the service under our agreement with you. Security and abuse prevention serve our legitimate interest in protecting the service and its users. We use consent where it is required for an optional feature. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
The Nest website does not load advertising, third-party analytics, remote fonts or tracking scripts. Necessary first-party authentication cookies keep you signed in. Browser storage holds an installation identifier and a short-lived sign-in transaction.
Providers and location
Nest uses Amazon Web Services for hosting, its workspace database, backups and email delivery. The database is configured in the United States; content delivery and provider authentication can involve other locations. Google processes information when you choose Google sign-in. Stripe provides payment processing and subscription billing. Its privacy policy explains its own processing. Your Nest account, subscription and billing-provider records are linked to operate the paid service. Websites and coding agents you use through Nest are separate services with their own terms and privacy practices.
Hasna’s GDPR notice describes its international-transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. Contact privacy@hasna.com for information about the arrangements applicable to your data. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
We retain workspace and account information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Retention also depends on security investigations, recovery requirements and applicable legal obligations. Payment and accounting records may need to be retained after a subscription or account ends where required by applicable obligations. Backups and security records have separate retention periods; removing current data does not immediately erase every backup. You may request account deletion or details about retention by emailing privacy@hasna.com.
Signing out revokes access where the service is reachable but preserves local work. Deleting a Nest account does not delete files or stop processes on your stations, or delete accounts you hold with other providers.
Your choices and requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where used, and complain to a data-protection authority. Send requests to privacy@hasna.com. Nest may need to verify that a request concerns your account.
